2MM REGA SPACER
Where a turntable has a Rega tonearm,
there is no manual adjustment to the
height of the tonearm at the pivot end.
In some cases, this may preclude the
setting of an accurate stylus rake angle
for the cartridge. We can supply 2mm
Tonearm Spacers in order to increase the
height of the tonearm at the pivot end
of the arm. They are placed between the
underside of the tonearm pivot and the
top of the plinth or tonearm board of
the turntable.
In order to do this, first ensure the
stylus tip and cantilever are protected
during the ensuing process and that the
tonearm lead is safely disconnected from
the phono stage. Also, note the
position/alignment of the tonearm to the
platter and sides of the plinth so that,
when repositioning the arm after the
Tonearm Spacer has been added, the same
alignment is retained. Start by

the
retaining nut, which holds the tonearm in place
and is situated under the plinth or tonearm
board, and then removing it and withdrawing the
tonearm from the turntable. Pass the phono plugs
through the 2mm Spacer and draw the Spacer up to
a position directly underneath the tonearm
pivot. Replace the tonearm, leaving the Spacer
between the underside of the pivot and the top
of the plinth or tonearm board and secure the
retaining nut as it was before dismantling the
tonearm from the turntable. Before tightening
the nut, check that the tonearm is correctly
aligned.
